Winter Micro Wedding DC | Mahogany and Milton Enid A. Haupt Garden Bridal Session
Lincoln Memorial Surprise Proposal | DC Engagement Photographer
Winter Maternity Session at Glenview Mansion in Rockville, MD
This Micro wedding in DC and many others have become popular for so many reasons. Of course, due to Covid-19 and the population restrictions that have been implemented to reduce the spread. Micro weddings have also allowed couples to prioritize their wedding budget, allocate funds differently and not feel obligated to go big or go home. At LaTonya Photography we take pride in making small intimate weddings feel just as grand.
When you come from a big family reducing your guest list is no easy task. The stress of having a large wedding has never been Mahogany’s idea of a good time and she has always wanted to aim for something small and intimate. Hosting a Winter Micro Wedding in DC was definitely a perfect solution. Mahogany and Milton decided to stream their ceremony to allow family and friends to witness their intimate ceremony. I think the simplicity and elegance of the day was perfect for them and their images turned out phenomenal. Capturing their bridal portraits at a location of their choice was an added bonus!
Their accent color was great for this Winter Micro Wedding. The royal blue looked amazing at the Arthur Sackler Gallery in Washington, DC. There is something about being outdoors and capturing the natural beauty of a wedding that just can’t be beat.
As a Washington DC wedding photographer, I’m constantly on the lookout for beautiful outdoor locations to shoot at.
I love finding hidden gems that most people don’t know about, and I always get excited when I find a new one.
Shooting at outdoor locations is my favorite way to capture the natural beauty of a wedding day.
The beautiful landscape and unique architecture was perfect and made for a great backdrop. Although cold, the overcast sky provided the best natural light a photographer could ask for. Fortunately, there were very few spectators which made the location feel exclusive. We walked around the courtyard, stopped frequently, laughed and captured some beautiful moments. Their smiles were so contagious!
I absolutely love expressive imagery whether it be laughter, intimacy or compassion. Their love and chemistry was so effortless and was for sure a pleasure to capture. Did I mention it was cold?!?! However, you would never know! They cuddled, caressed, laughed and toasted their way through it like pros.
Wait!! I almost forgot to mention this wonderful couple was also featured on Munaluchi Bride – go check it out!
Are you getting married this year?!? I would love to capture the most important day of your life. Let’s chat!
