This was a special one guys!!! Capturing Jasmine and Nick’s Glenview Mansion maternity session was so special and I honored to share their story and images with you! The couple had been going through the infertility process for the last four years. Unfortunately, last year they suffered a loss but decided to try again. Their resilience was rewarded and is now expecting a baby boy.

During our phone consultation, I was touched by Jasmine’s story. Her kindness and enthusiasm was captivating. We talked about her infertility experience, her frequent sonograms and how she was looking forward to being a mother. Jasmine was super excited about planning their maternity session. We discussed so many ideas and locations and settled on having a Glenview Mansion maternity session in Rockville, Maryland.

Glenview Mansion is a spectacular property and its well kept grounds make for a beautiful backdrop. For this session the snow was an added bonus. I have always wanted to photograph a session in the snow but could never get anyone to battle the elements. On this particular early morning it was cloudy of course and Nick had concerns about it not being enough light. I assured the couple that it would be great with all my fingers and toes crossed….lol! Of course, every photographer knows that all that white snow is just one big reflector. They trusted me and we made it happen. Look at those vibrant colors pop and those smiling faces!!!

Certainly, when planning your maternity session I love to hear your ideas and then I offer suggestions how we can bring your vision to life. We discuss outfits and colors first, this helps me suggest the best locations and time of day. I provide recommendations for professional makeup artist and scheduling along with desired props if any.

Jasmine and Nick wanted to capture this session for announcement purposes so we did the session before the recommended 28-32 week timeframe. However, lucky me I get to capture their glory again when the baby bump is poppin”!!!

More importantly I can’t wait until they welcome their baby boy into the world and hold him in their arms. I know in my heart that Jasmine and Nick will be great parents.
