As a Northern Virginia wedding photographer, there’s that moment when you know you connect with your couples, you know they’re a good fit and you just can’t wait to capture their love. Ne’Cole & Stephen’s Tower Club wedding and Wilkes Street engagement session was no different.  I love when every interaction is filled with laughter, great conversation and what feels like the beginning of a friendship. Some couples radiate so much love and happiness that it’s impossible not to completely fall in love with them! Ne’Cole and Stephen’s bubbly personalities was like a breath of fresh air. Being a part of their wedding day made me realize just how much I truly love documenting one of the most important days of my couple’s lives. Frequently, I find myself smiling while editing their images and even tearing up during the vowel exchange and speeches because the love expressed throughout the day is so impactful. 

There are so many important moments of a wedding day that I capture such as “Getting Ready”, “First Looks”, “The Ceremony” and “Bridal Party Portraits” to name a few. Every wedding is different and my favorite moments are usually different as well. At Ne’Cole and Stephen’s Tower Club Wedding my favorite moments were capturing their bridal portraits and seeing her dance with her father. 

How does the expression go…..birds of feather flock together! Ne’Cole and Stephen’s wedding reception was full of dancing and great music. The highlight was the father daughter dance for me. It was not your average father daughter dance; dad was no stranger to the dance floor. The fun and excitement they generated was just what the guest needed to get on the dance floor and have a good time. 

Another staple moment I love is bridal portraits. Ne’Cole and Stephen’s bridal portraits checks all the boxes of what I aim for during the limited amount of time we often have. The bridal portraits were fun, filled with laughter and we even made time to slay. The outdoor courtyard at the Tower Club Wedding venue was a great backdrop for their summer wedding.
